After informal approach by our client at Samye Ling, the green house development will complement and consolidate existing garden facilities at the monastery site. In addition to supplying the monastery’s canteen the gardens cultivate flowers and herbs for public purchase.

To deliver this sensitive project, both ecologically and financially, we are working in collaboration with the team of volunteers who will build the house. The design seeks to provide a simple but refined enclosure, focussing on proportion and scale, whilst seeking to provide comfortable internal conditions for gardeners and plants alike.
